Special Security Forces Honor Winners of Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award
The Special Security Forces at the Ministry of Interior hosted a ceremony to honor the winners and participants in the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award in its third edition, in the Commander’s category. The honoring ceremony took place at the Special Security Forces GHQ in Seeh Al Mahab in Fujairah.
In his address to attendees on the occasion, Colonel Staff Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Hajiri, Commander of the Special Security Forces lauded the efforts exerted by the participants and winners in promoting participation in competitions. The Ministry of Interior has strived to implement the standards of excellence in its services and operations, in a bid to support and achieve the strategic goals he noted.
The ceremony was attended by Colonel Staff Dr. Ali Salim Al Tunaiji, Deputy Commander of Special Security Forces; along with heads of departments and unit commanders. Also attending were Lt. Colonel Mohammed Hareb Al Nuaimi, Chief of the Strategy and Performance Development Section, and a number of officers from the Special Security Forces GHQ.
Colonel Al Hajiri stressed that this accolade is in pursuance of the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to motivate distinguished staff members. It also represents an incentive for the ministry’s staff members to fulfill the tasks and duties assigned to them to the fullest, he added. Furthermore, he pointed out that the leadership dedicates significant attention to its creative cadres who contribute to preserving security and stability and maintaining the unique stature attained by the UAE.
The honoring included officers, non-commissioned officers, civilians and work teams. Colonel Staff Dr. Ali Salim Al Tunaiji, Deputy Commander of Special Security Forces; and Colonel Mohammed Hilal bin Ghabesh, Director of the Support Services Department won the Best Leadership Officer Award category; Major Saeed Salim Al Ka’bi from the Support Services Department won the Best Supervision Officer Award category; First Lieutenant Mohammed Jihane Al Bloushi, from the Special Security Forces Institute won the Best Specialized Officer Award category; Captain Ibrahim Mohammed Hassan from the Special Security Forces Institute won the Best Field Officer Award category; and First lieutenant Walid Abdullah Al Naqbi, from the Operations Department won the Best Technical Officer Award category.
Moreover, in the non-commissioned officers and civilians category, Assistant Khamis Ali Al Naqbi from the Force 5 Department won the Best Non-Commissioned Officer Award for the Field Employees category; First Assistant Mohammed al Shehhi from the Operations Department won the Best Non-Commissioned Officer Award for Administrative Employees category; First Assistant Mohammed Khamis Saghir from the Special Security Forces Institute won the Best Non-Commissioned Officer Award for Specialized Employees category; First Assistant Ali Saaed Mohammed from Force 5 Department won the Award for the Ideal Driver category; Sergeant Ismail Hassan Saeed from the Force 5 Department won the Best Non-Commissioned Officer Award for the New Employees category; Administrative Ahmed Ibrahim Kiwan from the Deputy Commander’s Office won the Award for the Administrative Employees category; and Civil employee Senior Accountant Alaauddine Malik from the Support Services Department won the Award for Specialized Employees category.
In the teams’ category, the Special Security Forces Institute won the Award for the Best Intranet content, while the force 5 Department received the Best Internal Performance Improvement Team Award, and the Support Services Department won the Best Problem Solving Team Award.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the Commander of the Special Security Forces expressed his heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the submitted projects evaluation team, and all those who have contributed to bring success to this event. Moreover, he urged the heads of departments to promote the culture of excellence across their departments and to encourage and support participants during the next stages.
