GCC traffic awareness committees' meetingkicks off in Abu Dhabi

The traffic awareness committees of GCC member countries have discussed several issues including the note from the GCC General Secretariat, the decisions of GCC ministers of interior on traffic awareness and the activity reports from GCC Traffic Week.
The working sessions also discussed a GCC-wide draft traffic awareness media strategy, with the final draft being circulated to directors-general of traffic department at the next meeting, as well as a traffic awareness media plan that includes the preparations for next year’s GCC Traffic Week, which will be held under the theme, " Your Life is a Responsibility", to be launched in March 2018.
The meeting was held on Monday at Hotel Sofitel Abu Dhabi. 
Lt. Colonel. Osama Mohammed Bahar, Director of Traffic Culture at the General Directorate of Traffic and Head of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Delegation, chaired the meeting and expressed his appreciation to the UAE for hosting and organizing the session. He hoped that the outcomes of the meeting and the recommendations adopted will achieve the desired goals successfully.
Lt. Colonel Ali Saeed Al Shehhi, Chief of the Strategy and Performance Development Section at the Traffic Coordination Directorate-General of the Ministry of Interior and Head of the UAE Delegation, welcomed the GCC delegations to their second home and wished them success. He hoped that the meeting would contribute in uniting visions and concepts related to awareness, in compliance with the ambitions of the leaders of GCC countries.
