Major General Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamesi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Resources and Support Service, Deputy Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Year of Tolerance 2019 Initiatives at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), chaired the Committee’s third meeting. The meeting was attended by all Committee members, and was held at the Meetings Hall in the Ministry.

The meeting reviewed and discussed the implementation level of the operational plan that reflects the main topics of the Year of Tolerance Initiatives, as well as the executed initiatives in the Year of Tolerance, and the ongoing work in line with the operational plan adopted by the Higher Committee in previous meetings.

The meeting also deliberated on a number of proposed initiatives and creative ideas that contribute to promoting the Year of Tolerance Initiatives, in addition to the noble human values that constitute a main pillar of civilization and the advancement of communities.

The Committee shed light on the external participations and initiatives that are implemented in cooperation with several governmental entities in lie with the Year of Tolerance Initiatives, which reflect the MoI’s role and efforts in promoting concepts of tolerance and coexistence as they spread the spirit of peace and cooperation among countries and societies.
