The General Directorate of Finance and Services at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), represented by the Department of Medical Services in Sharjah, organized the third edition of the "My Health, My Happiness" event.
A number of hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, specialized medical centers and health institutions inside the country have participated in the event to assess the health of the ministry's employees through conducting blood tests for diabetes, blood pressure as well as fats and eyes tests. Staff members were also briefed on with modern medical equipment and drugs used in the treatment of chronic diseases.
Major General Salem Mubarak Al Shamesi, Director General of Finance and Services at the Ministry of Interior said that the aim of the event is to highlight the objectives, mission and values of the Ministry of the Interior and its keenness to raise the level of community awareness while also contributing to the dissemination of health education and awareness of the Ministry's employees of the importance of maintaining their health so that they can carry out their tasks in the most proper way.
Brigadier Abdullah Ahmed Jum'a, Deputy Director General of Finance and Services, toured the show and was briefed on the medical devices and equipment showcased there.
In conclusion, he handed over certificates of thanks and appreciation to the representatives of hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, specialized medical centers and institutions participating in the event.
Colonel Hassan Ali Al Aleeli, Deputy Director of the Medical Services Department in Sharjah inaugurated the event which was held in the new building of the Ministry of Interior, in the presence of a large number of police officers, non-commissioned officers, personnel, civilians and female police members from various departments of the Ministry of Interior.
"The event is held as part of the Medical Services Department's initiatives to improving behaviors that help reduce the risk of diseases, and increase the chances of recovery, through early detection of diseases and adoption of preventive measure, such as self-examination, keeping possible medical devices at home, and using safe medications with fewer side effects", said colonel Al Aleeli.
