The General Directorate of Finance and Support Services, represented by the Purchading and stores department and in coordination with the joint services and projects department, organized a virtual workshop held online titled the role of contracts department officers in order to develop the institutional work at the ministry and improving services of customers. The workshop was attended by representatives of all UAE police HQs and all sectors of the ministry .
Lt. Colonel Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Alshehi, deputy director of the purchasing and stores department, explained that the objective of the workshop is to introduce the best practices in managing contracts and implementing them in MOI as well as defining the duties and responsibilities of purchasing officers , and the mechanisms of technical evaluation of tenders with clear responsibilities of different committees.
