The Ministry of Interior launched a campaign themed The safer you are, the happier they are , in a bid to reduce road fatalities on five main roads in the UAE.
The drive illustrates the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to accelerate achieving o of the national agenda goals through the first government accelerators in the world.
The Ministry of Interior assumes the challenge of reducing accidents deaths on five main roads, the most dangerous in the country. It has made several decisions on this regard, and formed accelerators team comprising representatives from the strategic partners, traffic and patrol departments across the police GHQ.
The campaign was launched through all media outlets while the Security Media Department at the Ministry was coordinating with the police GHQs taking part in the campaign which started December 22.
The campaign aims to enhance public awareness through sending awareness messages via all the ministry and police’s social media platforms including hashtag #your_ safety_thier_ happiness , for more interaction from the members of the public.
The campaign focuses on raising awareness about the causes of fatal accidents and ways of preventing them. These causes include: sudden swerving, over speeding, ignoring safety distance, failure to abide by lane discipline, negligence and lack of attention by drivers and road users.
