MoI Launches its Third Program to Support Creative Innovators

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) recently launched its third program to support creative innovators. The program aims to discover and nurture creative individuals, create a stimulating and encouraging environment for developing creative capabilities and foster those with outstanding creative skills.

In his address during the Creative Thinking and Innovation Skills Course graduation ceremony at the headquarters of the General Directorate of e-Services and Telecommunications at the MoI, Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General at the MoI, stressed the Ministry's eagerness to focus on innovation and implement modern ideas and knowledge. The Ministry has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research to enhance future cooperation in terms of exchanging knowledge and expertise in laboratory-based fields. This cooperation will enhance the creative environment and development of projects in different fields that serve the police and security work environment, through the use of 12 laboratories, he said.

In addition, he highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to implementing the Higher Leadership’s directives regarding the adoption of the fourth generation of the government excellence system, which is the first of its kind in the world. This system will contribute to upgrading government work based on innovation standards, which will in turn yield results that can be used as a benchmark for excellence in government services. This system will be achieved via three main focal points: vision, innovation and enablers, in order to reach the highest levels of customer satisfaction, which will represent a road map for the future, he noted.

The Strategy and Performance Development Director General urged the graduates to keep abreast of developments and spread the culture of excellence and innovation among employees of the Ministry. The Ministry has led the way in the pursuit of outstanding work and is continually eager to demonstrate its experience in the transition from traditional to modern ways, added Colonel Al Dhaheri.

Towards the end of the ceremony, the Strategy and Performance Development Director General at the MoI distributed certificates to the graduates. The ceremony was attended by Lt. Colonel Ahmed Hamid Al Suwaidi, Chief of the Technical Training Section at the General Directorate of e-Services and Telecommunications; Lt. Colonel Issa Ahmed Jassem, Educational Tools Branch Manager at the Training Section; as well as a number of officers.
