MoI Personnel Start Physical Fitness Tests
The Ministry of Interior has started the annual physical fitness tests for its military personnel at the Police College's sports hall.
Fitness testing is designed to assess the readiness of MoI personnel and ensure they are capable of carrying out field operations in an optional manner.
Colonel Mohammed Humaid Dalmouj Al Dhahiri, Director General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior who is also Chairman of Board of Directors of the Police Sport Association stressed that practicing sports is very important for humans to carry out their duties properly and enjoy a good health. It helps enhance positive thinking and reduce stress and pressure, he noted.
"Police personnel need to have a perfect physique and good level of energy to help them enforce the law and order and prevent crime", he said, adding that the Sport Police Association is committed to ensuring that police personnel are practicing sports on regular basis and are taking care of their health.
The Association has followed an easy and flexible mechanism to organize testing process, he indicated.
