The Local Crisis Management Team in Ajman held a meeting chaired by HE Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier Rashid Jassim Majlad, Acting Director General of the Civil Defense Department in Ajman, and a number of directors of federal and local institutions and departments in the emirate.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Commander of Ajman Police, who is also the team leader, welcomed the audience andpraised the great efforts they are making to achieve security and safety in the emirate.

He stressed the need to intensify and unify efforts by all members of the team to enhance the team's preparations for emergency, crisis and disaster management.

On the other hand, the Director of the National Coordination and Response Center in Ajman reviewed the capabilities of the Center and its preparedness to deal with disasters and crises, stressing that the Center is working on developing its capabilities and preparations periodically to keep abreast of the life developments and to be ready around the clock.

The head of the local crisis team tackled the readiness of the dams to deal with natural disasters such as rain, floods and runoff of Wadis,as well as the necessary preparations to ensure normal life in such cases. He also discussed ways to ensure smooth anchoringof ships at the ports during adverse weather conditions.

At the end of the meeting, His Excellency Major General Sheikh Sultan Al Nuaimi stressed the necessity of exerting efforts to achieve the strategic objectives of the parties involved in supporting the Team, praising the continuous efforts of the police in cooperation with the emergency team, the security authorities and service and community institutions in the country- efforts that mainly aim at protecting the UAE nationals and residents as well as preserving property.
