MOI celebrates the Graduation of 51 participants “Tolerance Diploma”
The Ministry of Interior hosted a ceremony to celebrate the graduation of 51 participants who completed the Professional Diploma Program in Tolerance implemented by the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development in collaboration with Dubai University. The ceremony was held in Abu Dhabi and attended by Major General Salem Mubarak Al Shamesi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry for Resources and Support Services and Dr. Eesa Mohammed Bastaki, Dubai University (DU) President along with several officers and officials.
This diploma comes within the initiatives of the Ministry of Interior for the year of tolerance, and it covered 6 main subjects , which are "the science of tolerance", "society and civilizations", "religions and philosophies", "policies and laws", "education for peace" and "business and innovations" And presented by a number of experts and professors at the university, in addition to specialists in tolerance, and the materials were chosen based on the UAE National Tolerance Program, and based on a set of initiatives that were launched at the country level.
Major-General Salem Ali Mubarak Al-Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services, affirmed the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to adopt initiatives that promote the values of tolerance, moderation and coexistence in societies because of its positive impact and importance, noting that the United Arab Emirates is a forerunner in the wisdom of its leadership to establish and promote these principles and values.
