Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Shafar, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, attended a ceremony on Tuesday to honor police GHQs, sectors and directorates general at the Ministry of Interior, for achieving outstanding standards of quality. The ceremony, organized by the Quality Department at the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development to mark World Quality day, was held in the Conference Hall at the MoI’s headquarters.

The ceremony was attended by Major General Salim Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Resources and Support Services, Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander in Chief of Sharjah Police and a number of senior commanders, general directors and officers.

Colonel Dr. Rashed Al-Dakhri, Deputy Director General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior, delivered a speech at the beginning of the ceremony in which he stressed that the concept of quality and excellence has become the Ministry of Interior, and many bodies and institutions a concrete reality through which work is dedicated to the application of all specifications and standards (local and international) and aimed at Upgrading services to the highest levels, which by applying the bodies and institutions give higher certificates that determine the level of conformity of their systems with those specifications and standards.

Dr. Al-Dhakhri said that the team was trained and qualified to document the processes and procedures in line with achieving the best levels of performance and development of work systems, in line with the strategic direction of the Ministry of Interior.

It is worth mentioning that the sectors, leaderships and departments that have the quality specifications are the General Directorate of Sharjah Police, and got the quality, environment and occupational health and safety standard, and the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Directorate, got the quality management system specification, and the Ajman Police General Directorate got the quality, environment and occupational health and safety standard Business Continuity Management, Innovation Management, Customer Complaint Handling, Asset and Property Management, Training Management, Risk Management and Governance Management.

The General Directorate of Fujairah Police got the quality management system specification, and the General Directorate of Umm Al Quwain police got the quality management system specification. Also, the General Directorate of Relations and Protocol got the quality, environment, occupational health and safety standards, and the General Directorate of Human Resources on the quality, environment, health and safety standards. Professional, selection and appointment, HR planning, motivation management, education management, training management, risk management, general finance and support services Occupational Safety and Governance Management System, Asset and Property Management System, Risk Management System, General Administration of Central Operations got the Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety Standard, General Administration of the Ministry got the Quality Management System Specification, General Administration of Legal Affairs got the Quality Management System Specification, General Management For electronic services and communications got the quality and environment, occupational health and safety and risk management system, and the Police College got the quality and environment, occupational health and safety standards, as well as the Ministry of Interior Innovation Center got Specification on innovation management.
