The committee for the implementation of the light air sports system has discussed the tariff classification of drones to be presented to the GCC concerned committee. It has also discussed the challenges pertaining to the protection of airspace and violation of privacy of residential areas by these drones.
During its fourth meeting chaired by Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, the Inspector General at the Ministry of Interior and head of the committee for the implementation of the light air sports system, the Committee has reviewed the media campaign which was prepared in collaboration with the Security Media Department and social media influencers.
The meeting has also discussed the latest technologies and equipment that help prevent violations of drones, such as electronic chips.
Al Raisi has emphasized the importance of using drones in many fields such as in photography, coverage of important events and home delivery, urging the public to learn about and follow the rules before flying their drones.
