Lt. General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior has officially launched an innovative e-game dubbed Zayed The Leader at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) premises on Tuesday to promote awareness among youngsters about the UAE history and its establishment at the hands of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE.

It is the brainchild of Emirati businessman Obaid Sagheer Al Qubaisi, who has created it cooperation with the Khalifa Student Empowerment Program (Aqdar).
The innovative game focusses on the historic perspective of establishment of the UAE through shedding light on the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed, his vision, determination and faith.
Sheikh Saif presented the Appreciation Medal for Community Service to Al Qubaisi in recognition of his innovative initiative that instils more awareness among youngsters about the visionary strategy of the founding father.
Al-Qubaisi praised the efforts of the Khalifa Student Empowerment Program (Aqdar) to market the game according to its goals and its national trends, pointing out that the game contains historical information about the actual efforts of the founder of the country and the challenges he faced, all that in a creative and thrilling way in a bid to attract students and young people and encourage them to communicate and interact positively.
Colonel Dr. Ibrahim Al Dabal, General Coordinator of the Khalifa Student Empowerment Program Aqdar’, noted that the game enhances national and ethical values that cater to the needs of the youth.

The game features a number of events and activities that serve the building the country while playing. They include; the National Day celebrations and the beginning of the oil era among others. The game features several stages. The first one is the Building Stage. The second stage is includes a video that documents the historical and cultural traditions of the UAE society to provide players with the essential information necessary to play the game. The third stage is building the first modern school in Al Ain, under the direct supervision of HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The school is the cornerstone of the UAE’s cultural transformation and progress. The fourth stage documents the export of the first shipment of crude oil, which marked the economic renaissance of the UAE. The fifth stage showcases the establishment of the union and the significant relevant efforts. The sixth stage is about the establishment of the first government structure, while the seventh stage documents the building of modern residential units, universities, hospitals, hotels, as well as the efforts to protect the environment and wildlife.
Attending the launch were Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far; Major General Abdul Aziz Maktoum Al Shareefi, Director-General of Preventive Security at the Ministry; Brigadier Mohammed Humaid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, acting secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, along with a number of police officers.
