Registration for Minister of Interior's Scientific Research Award extended until January 26th

Registration period for the third edition of the Minister of Interior's Scientific Research Award will be extended until January 26th, while deadline for delivery of the researches will be in the April 2nd, decided the board of trustees of the Award.
Major Dr. Omar Rashid Al Shehhi, Director of Studies and Surveys Center at the Ministry of Interior said that the award's committee has carried out a number of workshops to introduce the employees across the police sectors in the UAE of the Award's system. He called on those interested to apply for the award to observe the principles and conditions of scientific research.
"As a prerequisite, all researches must be written in Arabic, unless otherwise deemed necessary, as must be new, original, innovative and add value and contribute to efforts in addressing security issues and developing police work", he said.

The Award board members, evaluation and supervision team are not allowed to participate in the Award.

He indicated that, only Emirati police or security officers, including those retired, may compete for the award. However, non-nationals may participate only with researches jointly conducted with eligible Emiratis. One research prepared by not more than three people may be submitted, but at least two of them must be Emiratis.

The new edition will be focused on enhancing research quality and methodology to align contributions with the federal government's efforts in promoting innovation.
The scope of researches must cover police and civil defense operations, naturalization and residence affairs, ports, traffic, licensing, punitive and correctional establishments, administrative police work and human resources development.
