Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim delivered a lecture about safety officers at school in which he defined their roles towards school children, and advised them to the best ways to deal with them.
He pointed out Safety officers should act with full responsibility when they detect any suspicious drugs case among students.
"All necessary actions should be taken without delay", he stressed.
"They should monitor the behavior of students and the persons they are dealing with, in order to learn about whether or not they use narcotics or are involved in any other problems", Khalfan stressed.
The lecture is part of an initiative by the Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Armed Forces and the National anti-narcotics Council, to create a safe drugs-free environment at schools, and to monitor and control students' behavior through the school safety officers.
The lecture was attended by Abdurrahman Al Hammadi, undersecretary of the ministry of education, Matar Al Hameli, assistant undersecretary for support services sector at the ministry of education, Colonel Abdurrahman Al Awais, deputy director of Federal anti-narcotics Department and other officials.
