The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has recently celebrated the graduation of the first batch of the "Benchmarking Program Diploma" which was prepared by the Benchmarking Center at the Ministry in collaboration with the Higher Colleges of Technology.

A total of 21 MoI members including 15 police officers have successfully completed the diploma's requirements.

The graduates as well as three distinguished female staff members at the Benchmarking Center were honored by Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha'far, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior.

Colonel Mubarak Al Kaleeli, Director of the Benchmarking Center at the ministry of interior pointed out that graduates have completed a number of theory and training programs which will enhance corporate excellence and improvement.
"The Center is dedicated to upgrading work system and to engaging staff members in the process to set operational plans that would achieve its goals and functions", emphasized Al Kaleeli.

"It is also a priority for the Center to train staff members, to keep them abreast with the developments, and to promote for the concept of benchmarking, being one of the main factors of success in enhancing strategic thinking within all the police departments", he further indicated.

The ceremony was attended by Major General Jassim Mohammed Al Marzouqui, Commander-General of Civil Defense; Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector-General of the ministry of interior; Major General Salim Al Shamesi, Director General of Finance and Support Services; Major General Abdul Aziz Maktoum Al Shareefi, Director general of Preventive Security, and a number of senior police officers.
