MoI 10th Sport Tournament to kick off tomorrow in Abu Dhabi

The tenth edition of sports events for the Ministry of Interior’s staff members begins tomorrow and ends in March 3rd, 2017.
Events are held under the patronage of Lt General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
The tournament brings together six Ministry of Interior’s sectors: The General Secretariat of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior's office, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services,  the General Command of Civil Defence and Police College. Ministry of Interior’s male and female staff will compete in various sports including, under 40 seven -a- side-football games, over 40 five- a- side football games, shooting for senior police officers and women, shooting for non-commissioned officers and personnel, athletics, tennis, snooker, electronic football for staff’s children, walking, running, cycling, fitness and challenge, fitness tests, weightlifting, tug of war , beach volleyball, bowling, swimming and cultural competitions.
A number of venues will host the competitions including Zayed Sports City, Minister of Interior's headquarters, Police Officers Club and the Police College.
Colonel Mohammed Dalmouj Al Dhaheri Chairman of the board of directors of the Police Sport Federation said that organising of this tournament coincides with the directives of the police top leaders who believe in the significant role of sports in framing the personality of police staff, building self- confidence and consolidate fair competition.
