Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, received in his office on Monday, Latvia's Transport Minister Uldis Augulis.

During the meeting, the two parties exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.

Sheikh Saif bin Zayed and Uldis Augulis signed a Memorandum of Understanding on mutual recognition of driving licenses of citizens of the two countries as per procedures and conditions in this respect.

The meeting and the signing ceremony were also attended by Major General Salem Al Shamesi, Director General of Finance and Support Services; Brig. Ghaith Al Zaabi, Director General of Traffic Coordination at the Ministry of Interior; Brig. Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Director General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior, and a number of police officers.
