Doha hosted yesterday the first meeting of the UAE- Qatar Joint Security Committee, which is part of the Joint Higher Committee between the two countries.
The meeting has discussed means of enhancing the existing cooperation between the UAE and Qatar in a number of fields, particularly security issues of common concern.
An agreement in the field of passport’ was signed between the two countries.
Lt General Saif Abdullah Al Sha'far, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior headed the delegation of the United Arab Emirates, while Staff Major General Sa'd bin Jassim Al Khulaifi; the Director General of Public Security chaired the Qatari side at the meeting.
