4th Meeting of the Task Force on Combating Terrorism in MENA, Southwest Asia and the Pacific regions Concludes in Abu Dhabi
The Task Force on Combating Terrorism in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Southwest Asia and the Pacific regions concluded its fourth meeting in Abu Dhabi with a strong recommendation on the need to enhance international cooperation between all member states and the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL). The meeting also called for expertise and information sharing in fighting terrorists and terrorist networks whose identities and whereabouts are unknown to authorities.
Brigadier Hamad Ajlan Al-Amimi, Director General of the Federal Criminal Police at the Ministry of Interior, delivered a speech at the end of the meeting, in which he said that the meeting gave us an opportunity to exchange views and experiences and to consider in depth issues of terrorism that pose a great threat to the security and stability of our societies
He pointed out there were fruitful discussions and good opinions, results have been reached. And recommendations that reflect the common trends of our countries, to combat the phenomenon of terrorism.
He added that they discussed a number of issues related to combating terrorism, drying its sources of financing, and facing this dangerous phenomenon that constitutes a threat to the security and stability of the countries of the whole world.
