US. Consulate delegation briefed about Dubai police human rights experience

A delegation from the US. Consulate General in Dubai visited the General Department of Human Rights at Dubai police to get acquainted with its human rights experience. 
The delegation comprised Mr. Beth Smith, Political Economic Section Chief, and other officials at the Consulate. 
They were received by Brigadier Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Al Murr, director of Dubai police human rights department, Colonel Dr. Sultan Abdul Hameed Al Jammal, Dubai Police Human Trafficking Crime Control Centre 
Welcoming the visiting delegation, Brigadier Al Murr highlighted the importance of such meetings which help enhance joint communication and coordination and raise the level of cooperation to achieve the coveted goals. 
Colonel Dr. Al Jammal briefed the delegation about the goals and programs of the human trafficking crime control center. He indicated that the center, since its creation in February 2009, has implemented a big number of initiatives and events which have largely contributed to reducing the number of human trafficking crimes in the UAE. 
He pointed out the importance of coordination with local and international bodies to curb human trafficking as a transnational crime. 
Mr. Smith thanked Brigadier Al Murr for the warm reception, and praised the important information they have obtained during their visit. He hoped that the two sides would exchange more visits in the future to achieve the common goals.
