Dubai Police Academy celebrates graduation of 24th batch of cadet officers

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Police Academy tomorrow morning celebrates the graduation of the 24th batch of cadet officers. A total of 299 cadets will graduate from the Academy, including 33 postgraduate students, Master's and Doctoral levels.
On this occasion, the Police Academy board extended the warmest greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, to HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, to Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, as well as to the graduated cadets and postgraduate students.
The Academy's board praised the Dubai police academy for its scientific, security and community endeavors, and in keeping abreast with the rapid changes in today's world.
A number of senior Dubai police officials delivered speeches marking this occasion, including Assistant Commander-in-chief of Dubai police for Academic and Training Affairs Major General Mohammed Ahmed bin Fahd, Director of Dubai Police Academy, brigadier Dr. Ghaith Ghanim Al Swuaidi, Deputy Director of Dubai Police Academy Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Buti Al Shamesi.
Major General Al Fahd talked about the progress of the Academy since its inception 28 years ago. He said that the Academy's scientific research has benefited the emirate of Dubai, for the best interest of its people and expatriates. 
Brigadier Al Swuaidi said," we are proud of having Dubai police academy in our emirate and in our dear UAE. The Academy provides Dubai, the UAE, the GCC countries and sisterly Arab countries with the good quality of security personnel, he added. 
"In this occasion, we should remember our commander late Lt General Khamees Al Mezeina who passed away suddenly, he was a model of dedication and loyalty in his work", Al Swuaidi said in his address. 
For his part Brigadier Dr. Al Shamesi, said that, "we have learned from our visionary leadership that we must create challenges in the work to distant ourselves from routine, and we should always seek excellence".
