MoI organizes a seminar entitled (school bullying) in Ras Al Khaimah

The General Directorate of Relations and Protocol at the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Community Police Department at the General Command of Ras Al Khaimah Police, organized a seminar titled ( bullying ) for students of Al-Mairid School for Basic Education in Ras Al Khaimah.

This symposium comes within the activities of the National Week of Prevention of Bullying, which is held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation and with the support of the Ministry of Interior, the National Program for Happiness and Quality of Life in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The values of tolerance and the consolidation of the concepts of quality of life in the learning environment, and the preparation of a positive future generation.

The seminar was led by Lieutenant Colonel Saeed Matar Bin Omair Al Khatri, Deputy Director of Community Police Department in Ras Al Khaimah, Major Jassim Ahmed Al Zaabi, Director of Partnerships and Community Liaison Branch, Captain Moza Rashid Al Khabouri, Director of Community Programs Branch, and Captain Aisha Tarish of Ras Al Khaimah Police.

The symposium dealt with the subject of (school bullying), where the definition and concept of school bullying, its forms, its different causes, where bullying occurs, what are the characteristics of the bullying person, how to observe bullying on children, how to prevent and treat it, through presenting tips and guidance to attend on how to behave with the bullying person And how to behave when you see someone being bullied at school, home, or anywhere else.

Lt. Col. Al-Khatiri stressed that the protection of children and children from violence and dangers is one of the most important priorities of the Ministry of Interior, in an effort to spread and enhance security and safety in the community, pointing out the importance of spreading awareness about violence and education, including psychological and physical problems, on generations and how to deal with its effects. He called on parents to set specific times during the day to sit with their children and play with them and listen to them, and the need to communicate with the community police and not hesitate in the event of one of the children subjected to violence, pointing out to deal confidentially with the cases of violence, and provide appropriate advice to them.
The seminar was attended by members of the school's administrative and teaching staff and parents of students
