The Undersecretaries of the Interior Ministries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination amongst the GCC member states in various joint security fields; as well as the latest security developments of interest.
The agreed upon recommendations garnered from this meeting will be presented during the next meeting of the GCC Interior Ministers.
Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha'far, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior led the UAE delegation in the 9th preparatory meeting of Their Excellencies the GCC Interior Undersecretaries hosted by Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to prepare for the 17th consultative meeting of Ministers of Interior in the GCC States scheduled on April 27, in Saudi Arabia.
The UAE delegation included Dr. Rashid Sultan Al-Khadr, Chairman of the Legal Council of the Ministry, Colonel Dr. Jamal Saif Fares, Director of Legal Affairs at the Court of His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouie, Director of International Cooperation Department Lt. Colonel Ahmed Mohammed Al Marar, director of government affairs in the Dewan, and Major Majid Al Swuaidi of the Ministry of Interior's Undersecretary Diwan.
