In collaboration with the Emirates Autism Society (EAS), the Ministry of Interior (MoI) launched the Smart Companion’ initiative to provide community protection for people with autism. The launch took place on the sidelines of the AccessAbilities Expo 2019 taking place from November 5 to 7 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC).
The ceremony was attended by Brigadier Dr. Salah Obeid Al Ghoul, Director General of Community Protection and Crime Prevention at the Ministry of Interior; HE Majed Sultan Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Emirates Autism Society (EAS); Fatima Saif Al Matroushi, Deputy chairwoman of the Emirates Autism Society and Lt. Colonel Dr. Ali Al Zaabi, Deputy Director General of the Federal Police Follow-up Operations. Also attending were several officials from the Emirates Autism Society, MoI officers and a host of prestigious guests.
