4th meeting for ICDO Training Directors, Institutes and Schools Concludes in Abu Dhabi

The 4th meeting for Civil Defense Training Directors, Institutes and Schools organized by the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO) concluded this weekend in Abu Dhabi. On the third day of the meeting, participating delegations visited the Civil Defense Academy and attended the graduation of an international training course in firefighting and rescue, which saw participation of several civil defense staff members representing 10 ICDO member states. The ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Mohamed Abdullah Al-Zaabi, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Civil Defense. 

In the second and third days of the meeting ,papers were presented by a number of participants, which address international best practices in firefighting and ways to enhance safety and public protection requirements, as well as discussing the most important training methods and means of learning in and the latest necessary tools used in strengthening civil protection, as well as a number of defense officials Civilian from international countries offers their countries experiences in the fields of training, awareness, prevention and safety.

The meeting came out with a number of recommendations, including the formation of a committee to follow up on the annual training plans and supervise the work of a database to benefit from it, in addition to standardizing technical terms in training fields used in covenants and schools affiliated with civil defense departments, and emphasizing the need for active participation in meetings organized by the organization and training courses , And encourage bilateral and group visits between member states to exchange experiences, and work to form an electronic window through the organization's website for training and start preparing for future and expected work from member states to achieve the desired goals
