Sharjah police launches awareness campaign against thefts on banks clients

In line with its commitment to implementing the Ministry of Interior's vision and mission on promoting security and public safety, the Sharjah police GHQ launched an awareness campaign on thefts committed against banks clients.

"The campaign is a preventive measure due to its public awareness role in the fight against negative behavior", said CID Director at Sharjah police Colonel Ibrahim Musabbah Al Ajil.

The brochures, distributed across the emirate, have contained a set of guidelines and warnings, including that clients should keep their withdrawn money invisible, put it carefully in the car, not to leave it inside the car if they stop anywhere, and not to hesitate in reporting any suspicious activities they may encounter near banks or ATM machines, or if they notice that they are being followed.
Old people or women are advised to be accompanied by relatives or friends when making big cash withdrawals.
