Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, witnessed an initiative themed "youth and happiness day" dedicated to orphans and people with special needs.
The event was held as part of the "Reading is a positive energy" exhibition at Zabeel Park, in the presence of Zuhair Al Haj the head of human resources at Al-Futtaim Group.
The initiative which was organized by Al-Futtaim Honda in cooperation with the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation in Dubai, began with a tour on board the new Honda vehicles from Al-Futtaim Honda headquarters to Dubai and then to Zabeel Park with the participation of orphans and minors.
After the tour, the children watched a show on happiness of children with disabilities presented by the Senses Residential and Day Care Centre. The children then went to the reading oasis to listen to excerpts from a book titled "Reflections on Happiness and Positivity" by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. After that, the group of volunteer ambassadors of the community service of the Arab Youth Club presented a series of competitions and entertainment shows in the presence of a group of artists and media figures.
At the end of the ceremony, First Lieutenant Al Khalifa Al Raieesi, who was the first Arab in the Middle East to win the four-wheel-drive motorbike Super course race in the United States, was honored in the presence of Mr. Faridin Sara, General Manager of Al-Futtaim Sales, Nassir Al Bloushi, Acting Director General of Emiratization and Support Services, Mohammed Ibrahim, Director of Government Relations, and Mrs. Nadia Al Sayegh, Chairman of Senses Residential and Day Care Centre for Special Needs.
