Saif bin Zayed witnesses Ministry of Interior's Celebration of International Women's Day

Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior witnessed on Wednesday at the ministry of interiors' headquarters the ministry's celebration of the International Women's Day which is celebrated on March 8th every year. 
The ceremony was held in recognition of the women's contribution to the security and police work in the country. 
Sheikh Saif accompanied Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs in Singapore who is currently visiting the country. 
A number of female staff members have acclaimed the trust placed on them by the higher leadership. They have also expressed their honor by the attendance of Sheikh Saif, renewing loyalty to the leadership to continue exerting every effort to ensure the prosperity of the country in various aspects. 
Marking this occasion, various units at the ministry of interior have honored their female staff members for their distinguished efforts. 
The Ministry's Public Relations Department today organized a ceremony which was attended by Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha'far, the Undersecretary of the ministry of interior. 
Addressing the ceremony, Al Sha'far reiterated attention given by the higher leadership to the Emirati women and to their role in the developmental efforts in the country, as well as to their effective contributions in many domains including their participation police and security agencies.
"The Ministry of Interior, as per the directives of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has given special attention to the female staff members through providing them with a set of empowerment programs and initiatives, which helped them carry out their tasks on equal footing with men", said Al Sha'far. 
The Ministry, he added, could enhance the role of female staff thanks to the police leadership which supported them and removed all obstacles preventing them from occupying senior police posts. 
Major General Jassim Al Marzouqui, The General Commander of Civil defense expressed his sincere appreciation to the female staff members for their continuous efforts to enhance the services at the Civil Defense sector. 
Al Marzouqui met with a number of female members in the presence of a number of Civil Defense police officers 
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs has also marked the occasion as Brigadier Yousif Al Khouri; deputy director met with the female staff members and praised their contributions to serving the nation.
The Police College in Abu Dhabi has also celebrated the International Women's Day as Brigadier Waleed Al Shamesi; director general of the College met with the female staff members and students and praised their efforts. He stressed that they have proven their pioneering role in the journey of the police and security work, urging them for more performance. 
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ras Al Khaimah has honored its female staff members. Brigadier Sultan Yousif Al Nu'aimi director general has extended thanks to them and praised their determinations towards developing the institutional work. He gave them symbolic gifts on this occasion.
