Ministry of Interior celebrates International Day of Happiness

Marking the International Day of Happiness, the Ministry of Interior launched the Customers' Happiness Index to measure their satisfaction about the quality of services offered to them. The Ministry also launched hashtag" # happiness of _giving". 
On this occasion, the Ministry of Interior held celebration at its various sectors across the country including the traffic and licensing services center in Ajman and the ministry's headquarters in Abu Dhabi. 
Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha'far, the Undersecretary at the ministry of interior, underscored the ministry's commitment to implementing the directives of the higher leadership in relation to deepening the standard of happiness within its activities and services across the country, given that happiness is a human value which the UAE seeks to circulate as a life style in the community. 
"The index of happiness applied in the ministry of interior guarantees that quality services are delivered to the customers in a simple, precise and time-saving way", said Al Sha'far. 
Ajman Police Commander-in-Chief, Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi pointed out that launching of the happiness index at one of the ministry of interior's service centers embodies the pioneering position of the ministry of interior in delivering services that achieves happiness for both Emiratis and expats. 
Colonel Nasser Kahdim Al Ka'bi, Director of Customers' Happiness at The Ministry of Interior said that the launch of the happiness index at the ministry is in response to the directives of the higher leadership to ensure the stability and well-being of the community, emphasizing that the index will be applied gradually across all the service centers. 
Al Sha'far honored the most distinguished and positive employee across the ministry first policewoman Maryam Ali Abdullah Al Matroushi, from the traffic and licensing services center in Ajman. She was able to process 6224 transactions achieving an average of 99.94%. She also, and for the second time, received the excellence badge - one of Ajman police's local badges awarded as per a decree issued by the emirate's Ruler. 
He met with a number of clients who expressed their happiness about the high quality services the ministry is offering. They said the services are completed in a record time. 
Addressing the celebration held at the ministry's headquarters on this occasion, Major General Dr. Ahmed Nassir Al Raisi, Inspector General of the ministry of interior, said: the UAE is one of the first countries to ask for a day a happiness to be allocated, but it didn't wait for that to happen, instead it was seeking, snice its inception, to endorse local policies that ensure sustainable policies for all Emiratis, expats and visitors. 
Celebrating the occasion, the Civil Defense Commander General Major General Jassim Al Marzouqui, distributed gifts to the clients while visiting the Musaffah's civil defense center on Monday. 
Many other departments also celebrated the International Day of Happiness, including the Police College in Abu Dhabi, the General Directorate of Community Protection and Crime Prevention, the Ministry of Interior's Centers Department of Employment and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, and the General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ras Al Khaimah.
