Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended today in Dubai the joint meeting between the Ministry of Interior Youth Council and the Emirates Youth Council.
The meeting discussed the implementation of pioneering initiatives by the ministry of interior in line with the Emirates Youth Council, in the presence of Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouie, State Minister for Youth Affairs and Chairperson of the Emirates Youth Council.
Sheikh Saif highlighted the importance of the youth' role in enhancing the journey towards advancement in the UAE. He expressed his delight for meeting with young people who set an example of the Emirati youth's capabilities for foreseeing the future and achieving the nation's prosperity.
Shamma Al Mazrouie extended thanks to Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his continuous efforts to support the youth taking their active role in the society, contributing to its journey towards sustainable development and creating a brilliant future for the UAE.
She praised the huge efforts being made by the Ministry of Interior's Youth Council which she described as one of most important and effective councils. She added that the Council's plans and programs are qualitative addition to the Emirati youth.
She reiterated the impotence for joint coordination and cooperation among the youth councils to transform their initiatives and plans into a tangible realty.
The meeting was attended by Major General Dr. Abdul Quddos Abdul Razzaq Al Obaidly, Assistant to the Commander in Chief for Quality and Excellence Affairs in the Dubai Police, Brigadier Dr. Salah Obied Al Ghoul, director of the Law Respect Culture Bureau at the ministry of interior and a number of police officers.
Director of the Security Media Department at the mimisnty of interior Major Fawwaz Ali Abdullah stressed the ministry's keenness on empowering the youth through the launch of pioneering initiatives that help highlight their capabilities and increase their contributions to the development of the country.
"These initiatives will upgrade youth work and expand their participation in the voluntary works carried out in the UAE, in line with the initiatives of the Emirates Youth Council", said Major Fawwaz.
In addition, such initiatives will increase their involvement in awareness campaigns and will help them present suggestions and creative ideas that will consolidate the culture of awareness among them, he further added.
the Ministry of Interior's Youth Council has many functions that include creating new awareness styles that suit the new lifestyle of the youth, foreseeing the future in terms of the youth's aspirations and their future vision for the security in the country, presenting new ideas, setting initiatives that promote positive working environment, increasing efficiency and productivity, and developing policing methods that keep up with the changing nature of crimes.
