Prestigious Indian Medical Groups Join the “Waterfalls” Initiative

A session was held yesterday, Tuesday evening, during which the Republic of India announced its joining of the Global Waterfalls Initiative , with a group of prestigious hospitals that are supported and supervised by the health sector in the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, which is one of the largest and most important sectors in the Republic of India, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed AlBanna, UAE Ambassador to India and His Excellency Pavan Kapoor, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the United Arab Emirates.

The representatives of the organizing committee expressed their appreciation and pride of this valuable participation from Indian medical institutions, which are known for their efficiency and heritage, as their participation is considered a distinguished addition that supports the efforts to make the Global Waterfalls Initiative a success. In addition, they thanked the institutions that had announced their support for the Waterfalls Initiative and all the employees and participants from the local and international medical sectors in it, who continuously make outstanding sacrifices in the first line of defense for the health and safety of societies.

The session witnessed speeches from Mr. Uday Shankar, President-Elect of the FICCI, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed AlBanna, UAE Ambassador to India, Ms. Sangita Reddy, Past President of FICCI and Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited, and Dr. Alok Roy, Chairperson of the Health Services Committee at FICCI and Chairman of Medica group of hospitals.

In this regards, the participants from the Republic of India extended their appreciation to the leadership, government, and people of the United Arab Emirates, for this unique initiative that was launched with an Emirati vision to support medical personnel around the world in their continuous efforts, especially under the light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, as well as supporting the continuous education of medical personnel, and they especially thanked His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, for his generous attendance and continuous support for this initiative.

In addition, the session was attended by Dr. Aman Puri, Consul General of India in Dubai, and Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of Waterfalls Initiative for Continuous Education from the UAE to the World and Chairman of INDEX Holding, and Colonel Abdulrahman Ali Al Mansouri, Director of the Executive Office in the Department of Behavioral Rewards at the Ministry of Possibilities, and the session was moderated by Eng. Anas Al Madani, Vice Chairman and Group CEO of INDEX Holding.
A group of the country’s best doctors and specialists from all medical specialties will participate in the Waterfalls initiative which is the largest global initiative for continuous education and specialized remote training. Waterfalls Initiative for Continuous Education was launched from the UAE to the world, with the support and vision of the UAE’s wise leadership, in order to train and empower around one million medical personnel, through specialized educational sessions, training workshops, seminars and lectures that seek to qualify and empower medical and health personnel and help them continue learning under the current conditions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and enable them to continue their scientific career through remote continuous education.

It is worth mentioning that the number of beneficiaries of the global initiative Waterfalls has reached more than 111,517 doctors and specialists in the medical sector from 191 countries around the world since its launch, through sessions presented by over 327 of the world’s most prominent lecturers and specialists in various medical fields in the world, which contribute to enhancing participants' skills and experiences, and assist in keeping them up-to-date with the latest developments in their fields, which qualifies and empowers them in facing health crises and emergencies in the future.

Waterfalls initiative was developed by the Department of Behavioral Rewards at the Ministry of Possibilities, in cooperation with INDEX Holding.
