The Ministry of Interior particpated today in UAE celebrations of the Commemoration Day. All the Ministry's premises and departments across the country have lowered the UAE flags at 08:00 am  in respect for  the glorious matyrs. At 11:30, the Ministry's staff observed one minute of silence and prayed for the souls of the UAE martyrs.

The event coincided with the " The UAE remembers " campaign earlier launched by the Martys Families Affairs Office in commemoration of our martyrs for their sacrifices to the nation.

The celebration began with the lowering the UAE flags, then the Ministry's Undersecretary, senior police officers, police officers, non-commissioned officers and personnel observed one minute of silence praying Allah to bless martyrs with mercy in respect for their sacrifices. Then the UAE flag was raised while the flag anthem was played. A big number of the police college recruits  were singing the national anthem with the police music band.
Lt General Saif Abdullah Al Shafar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior attended today the Ministry of Interior’s celebration of the  Commemoration Day, in the presence of Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Jassim Mohammed Al Marzouqi, General Commander of Civil Defence, Major General Abdul Aziz Maktoum Al Shareefi, General Director of Preventive Security, Major General Salim Al Shamesi, General Director of Finance and Support Services, General Directors, directors of the departments, and a big number of police officers at the Ministry of Interior.
The Ministry's senior officials affirmed that Commemoration Day is as dear as other national occasions such as the flag day and the national day. They indicated that martyrs who sacrificed their own lives for the sake of Allah and the nation are worthy of our great respect and appreciation. They will remain in  our memory and that of the generations to come.
