The Ministry of Interior marked the Commemoration Day where at its building the UAE flag raised at half mast at 8:00am, and a minute of silence at 11:30am, followed by the raising of the UAE flag and the national anthem

The leaders of the Ministry of Interior and senior police officers expressed great pride to UAE Martyrs in the fields of honour, describing their sacrifices as medals of honor and dignity that push us for more work and national duty.


Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior , said that the Commemoration Day will remain a precious national occasion for all our hearts.

He said it is a day to immortalise the sacrifices of our heroes, and to honour their devotion in heeding the call of duty. They are role models and a source for inspiration to our sons and daughters. Tomorrow, we stand united in prayer, honouring the sacrifices of our heroes and celebrating the achievements of our great nation – the achievements they gave their lives to protect

He pointed out that the greatness of the martyrs' sacrifices for the sake of the homeland instills in us the values of sacrifice and redemption and deserves the allocation of a national day to celebrate the memory of the martyrs of the homeland.
He said these martyrs who took responsibility for defending the homeland and made history while performing their national duties for the sake of their religion and nation, thus consolidating the values of devotion, loyalty.
