A NYPD delegation headed by Commissioner Dermot Shea visited " Wahat Al Karama" " and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi The delegation also visited the Fazaa Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai where they were received by Col. Ali bin Dhaen al Ghafli, the Fazaa Pavilion Commissioner and several officers.
While The US delegation in Abu Dhabi, upon its visit to "" Wahat Al Karama ", listened to an explanation about the Wahat and what it symbolizes of the sacrifices and heroisms of the people of the UAE who gave their lives for the nation. The delegation also visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and were briefed about the mosque's civilizational message calling for coexistence, tolerance and openness to the other.
While the delegation has visited the Fazaa pavilion where they took stock of initiatives and projects that foster the UAE presence, and enhance security, prevention and social protection.
The delegation included Thomas Ben Jalati, Director General of security information at NUPD, Inspector James Vincent, Inspector Dereck Slevin. They were accompanied by Captain Fahd al Harethi, MoI liaison officer seconded to the NYPD, and the NYPD liaison officer Lt. Andrew Powel Kamarshikavol, residing in the UAE and seconded to the MoI, as well as several other officers.
