Maj. Gen. Sheikh Rashid Bin Ahmed Al Mualla, Umm Al Quwain Police Chief stated that investigations are in progress to find out the causes of the car collision that took place at dawn on Sunday on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Umm Al Quwain. The collision claimed the lives of three persons, one of them is the driver of a black Range Rover.

Initial investigations indicated that the deceased are man from Comoros who caused the accident and two Emiratis in their 20s who were in the other car involved in the crash.

Al Mualla also highlighted that further details will be announced later in a press release once the ongoing investigations are completed, expressing his sorrow for this tragic accident and his deep condolences to the families of the deceased. The Police Chief called on all motorists to abide by to traffic laws and instructions, stick to speed limit, and fully comply with the instructions of the authorities concerned with the safety of the road and motorists.
