Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior lunched MOI "Quality of Security Life " Strategy to enhance the role of the security system in achieving the well-being of society and improving the quality of life. The strategy comes in line with the directives of the UAE government and the vision of its wise leadership. It is consistent also with the national strategy for quality of life, which aims to make the UAE a global leader in achieving community quality of life and enhance its leading leadership position in global competitiveness indicators to be the happiest country in the world.
His Highness has approved the recommendation of MOI Happiness and Positivity Council, which was submitted as an applicable and ambitious security strategy that reflects the MOI work and enhances the existing efforts to raise the levels of the security life quality for the Emirati society, including the levels of security and feeling safe. MOI seeks to harmonize its operations, indicators, applications and initiatives to achieve integration and use its efforts and direct its performance towards enhancing the quality of security life in the UAE.
Striving for the sustainability of the achievements
The results of the National Quality of Life Survey in the Emirates were reviewed, to confirm the importance of sustaining, enhancing and upgrading the achieved successes to higher levels.
The results of the survey showed that the Ministry of Interior achieved the highest results among the top five indicators at the level of a "developed country". The Ministry also scored four indicators out of the five. It achieved the highest score in the national survey, which is the index of feeling safe while walking alone at night, the index of trust in the police, the index of satisfaction with fire-fighting services, and the index of satisfaction with police services.
Objectives consistent with the levels of the national strategy for quality of life
The Ministry of Interior’s security quality of life strategy, which will be circulated to all sectors of the ministry, aims to enhance the UAE government’s vision of making the country one of the best in the world.
It works to enhance MOI’s work effectively and efficiently to achieve the highest levels of community quality of life and to preserve lives, honor and property. By adopting development and pioneering initiatives and projects that use modern technologies based on artificial intelligence and forward-looking visions. It also adopt a culture of innovation and encourage the introduction, adoption and application of innovative ideas and creative means to achieve the well-being and happiness of the UAE community.
The objectives of the strategy were divided into several levels that correspond to the national strategy for quality of life. Among those objectives that comes within the level of a developed country is achieving quality of life in the areas of personal security, road security, readiness and readiness, safety of life and property, and services provided.
