Virtual MOI lecture to boost child protection online

The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Child Protection Center, organized a virtual lecture to raise awareness on the safe use of the Internet titled Online Protection as part of the activities of the summer campaign "Together for a Safe Summer.

The lecture, delivered by Major Khaled Al Kaabi, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Interior Child Protection Center, tackled methods and ways to protect children from falling victims to electronic exploitation. It highlighted the importance of educating children not to share their personal information with others online.

The lecturer also reviewed the potential risks of electronic games that may display inappropriate content, especially as they may turn children into game addicts. He explained their effects on mental and physical health, as well as the risk of being lured online.
