The Ministry of Interior’s Culture of Law Respect Office in cooperation with the Councils Affairs Office at the organized an educational lecture at Al Wathaba Council in Abu Dhabi. The lecture tackled the importance of social cohesion to combat the scourge of drugs as part of a series of awareness-raising lectures. Speakers included Lamiaa Al Zaabi, head of the Drug Prevention Section as well as a number of specialist officers of the General Directorate for Drug Control .

The speakers stressed the necessity and importance of raising awareness of the dangers of psychotropic substances, methods of prevention and the basic protective factors, thus raising awareness in the community. They stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Interior, in coordination with partners, to continually educate community members.
