A virtual meeting held by the General Directorate for Drug Control, a Ministry of Interior Department, discussed the latest developments on drug trafficking and drug dealing. The meeting also tackled the expected challenges amid the precautionary measures taken by the relevant authorities in the UAE to combat the novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), including the restrictions on travel and flight movement, as well as the entry of wooden boats to the country.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the General Directorate for Drug Control from the UAE Police General HQs, the Federal Customs Authority, local customs departments, and representatives from the Critical Infrastructure and Coastal Protection Authority (CICPA).
