The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Federal Traffic Council, launched the awareness plan for the 2022 unified traffic campaigns across the UAE. The move comes as part of the traffic sector’s initiatives to achieve the Ministry’s strategic objectives in cutting down traffic accidents through concerted efforts in coordination with all authorities and institutions concerned with road safety and security.

The 2022 traffic plan included four quarterly campaigns that will be rolled out according to the traffic awareness program.

The first quarterly campaigns will be launched in February under the slogan (Safety of pedestrians and drivers from run-over accidents). The second quarterly campaign will come out in May under the slogan (Traffic safety of Users of electrical bicycles -electrical scooter).

In summer, the third quarterly campaign in will be rolled out in August under the slogan (A Summer without Accidents). As for the back-to-school period, the fourth quarterly campaign under the slogan (Traffic Safety for School Students) will be announced in November 2022.

The campaign is implemented in cooperation and coordination with the Traffic Departments and Patrols across the UAE as well as other authorities concerned with traffic safety in both the public and private sectors.

These campaigns are aimed to unify and support local efforts to reach the largest segment of society, through printed media,radio and TV, as well as the internet, billboards, and holding discussion panels about the campaigns and thetraffic values and culture they promote.
