A delegation from the National Traffic Safety Council at the sisterly Republic of Lebanon was briefed about the best international practices implemented by the UAE to boost traffic safety.

Brigadier Ghaith Al Za'abi, General Director of Traffic Coordination at the Ministry of met on Monday Brigadier Antwan Zikra, Head of the administrative office at the Directorate-General of Internal Security Forces and Head of the Traffic Management Center in Beirut,
The two sides explored the ways to enhance joint cooperation between the interior ministries in both countries and to exchange expertise in areas of common interest.
Al Za'abi confirmed the strong relations and cooperation between the interior miniseries in the two sisterly countries, and the keenness of the UAE security officials on exchanging visits and leveraging expertise.

The delegation was informed of the ministry's strategy to boost traffic safety to go in line with the huge urban shift and the increasing number of population and vehicles in the country.

Members of the visiting delegation have also been updated about using modern technologies in traffic operations, and the rapid efforts being made to develop traffic and licensing systems in the country.

Brigadier Zikra applauded the strong relations between the two countries, praising Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for his constant commitment to upgrade police work in the UAE- efforts that culminated in realizing impressive achievements in traffic safety.

The two sides exchanged gifts and souvenirs, in the presence of Colonel Nasser Ahmed Al Hosani, deputy director general of traffic coordination, the ministry of interior.
