The Abu Dhabi Police team was crowned champion of the third Police Sports Tournament for Specialized Teams that concluded on Thursday. Held under the patronage of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the championship is organized by the Police Sports Association, in collaboration with the Dubai Police GHQ in the Training facility in Al Ruwayyah, Dubai.

Major General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, crowned the Abu Dhabi Police General Command (K7 A) team as the champion of the third Specialized Police Championship, in the presence of Saeed Hareb, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council and Brigadier Khalid Ali Shahil, Deputy Chairman of the Police Sports Federation Council and Director of Administration Brigadier General Walid Al Shamsi, Director General of Police College, Member of the Board of Directors of the Police Sports Federation, Brigadier Arif Ali Obaid Al Rayes, Director of the Police Sports Federation, Colonel Khalid Al Khayat, Head of the Bahrain Sports Police Police Union, and directors of public administrations, police stations and officers.

Major General Al Marri handed the trophy to the Abu Dhabi Police General Command (K7 A)  which won the first place for the highest number of points among the teams participating in the tournament. The third team of Sharjah Police General Command "B".

Major General Al Marri praised the unlimited support from HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan to all police leaders at the level of the UAE and its units participating in the Police Championship for Specialized Teams. The 4-day tournament featured high skills and accuracy in dealing with scenarios.

For his part, Brigadier Arif Ali Obaid Al Rayes expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Dubai Police General Headquarters, represented by the Commander in Chief for hosting the third edition of the tournament, which has become the focus of attention of the competing police teams, pointing out that the tournament, which was organized under the guidance of the police leadership, showed high professionalism And speed in dealing with scenarios from different teams involved.

He stressed that the championship aims to raise the level of fitness for police officers within the specialized teams, where the scenarios that are competing among the tasks of their work, and contribute to raising their level of readiness to deal with various types of challenges in addition to achieving high technical readiness.

It is noteworthy that the police tournament for the third specialized teams witnessed the participation of 7 teams of police general command and a team from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a complex championship consisting of five exercises each exercise is a realistic scenario simulates the nature of the work and tasks of the security man as the exercise is a tactical competition based on a sense of appreciation The situation and dealing with the unknown data of the team, which surprised a lot of variables during the performance of this work and the teams participating in the tournament dealt with five scenarios, where the first day were dealt with two scenarios, two "tactical challenge to deal with the rescue of a hostage," and On the second day were dealt with the scenario of rescuing an officer and moving him from the field to a safe area, and the scenario of going up and down from the tower using ropes and then shooting targets, while the third and final day saw dealing with a scenario Physical "inhibitions" and exceeding 16 inhibitions to reach the end point in as little time as possible.
