Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, Delegate for Asia and Interpol Executive Committee member inaugurated the Interpol Strategic Dialogue and Debate Forum 2019 (STRATalks). The forum organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Interior under the title Foreseeing the Future for a Safer World , was held at the Dubai Festival City Hotel.
The opening ceremony was attended by Brigadier Saeed Al Suwaidi, Director General, Anti-Narcotics Federal Directorate General; Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Ahmad, Deputy Director General of Federal Criminal Police; Brigadier Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi, Director of the International Criminal Police Department (INTERPOL), Ministry of Interior. Also attending were heads of departments and several officers from the Ministry of Interior; as well as Madan Oberoi, Director of Innovation and Outreach at the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI), Singapore.
As many as 50 directors and experts on innovation and future foresight from the various police institutions from 30 countries around the world took part in the forum, which tackled emerging crime trends, future policing, environmental survey as a tool for future foresight for law enforcement institutions and the implications of future outcomes on police cooperation.
