The Fujairah Civil Defense Department executed a series of awareness initiatives in line with the 2019 Awareness Plan titled The Year of Tolerance. The initiatives included educating workers about the importance of proper diet and avoiding the risks of working under direct sun light, along with introducing them to the foundations of prevention and public safety. The initiatives also included distributing mineral water, refreshments, natural juices and fruits on workers in different locations in Fujairah. The Department honored the Dibba Secondary School for Girls, for implementing security and safety measures, and for the successful evacuation after a fire broke in an air-conditioning unit at the school.
