Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior attended today morning at 11 a.m. the ceremony organized by the Ministry of Interior (MoI). His Highness raised the UAE flag on the MoI building flagstaff in conjunction with the celebrations at all buildings of MoI’s directorates, sectors and general headquarters of the Flag Day.
The ceremony began with the with the flag saluting while Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior was raising the national flag that represents the pride and unity the country, and is a symbol of the national pride and belonging to the UAE. Afterwards, the police music band played the national anthem.
The ceremony was attended by Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior; Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaiaili, Head of the Institutional Development Council; Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior; Major General Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamesi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry for Resources and Support Services; Major General Jassem Muhammad Al Marzouqui, Civil Defense General Commander-in-Chief; Major General Abdul Aziz Maktoum Al Shareefi, Director General of Protective Security in the Ministry of Interior; and Brigadier Mohammed Humaid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the Office of His Highness the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. In addition, general directors, heads of departments, and a number of retired officers, non-commissioned officer, staff, individuals, civilians, and female staff at the Ministry of Interior attended the celebrations.
The ceremony was held with the participation of a number of officers and cadets at the Police Academy, a number of female Police officers and civilian staff. Also present at the ceremony were personnel from Special Security Forces; the Air Wing Department; the Civil Defense General Command; the Special Federal Police (71); a number of male students from the Zayed Althani School in Abu Dhabi; female students from the Al Dhabianeya School; and the police music band that played the national anthem while HH the Minister of Interior was raising the national flag.
