The Creativity Center at the General Department of Total Quality at Dubai Police has created a new system that guarantees the protection of intellectual property rights of the employee through a series of documentation procedures, announced Major General Dr. Abdul Quddos Abdul Razzaq Al Obaidly; Assistant of Commander in-chief for Quality and Excellence.

Thanks to the directives of Lt. "This will help create an encouraging environment where innovative employees can invest their ideas without having to fear of losing their rights and productions", he added.

He emphasized that the UAE is a pioneering country in the protection of intellectual property and in the fight against crimes of copying and piracy, and it works according to local and international agreements and partnerships with many ministries and scientific research institutions to ensure protection of intellectual property and brands.

Colonel Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Mu'alla, director of total quality at Dubai police, explained the producers and said, "The first step is that the Creativity Center receives the intellectual property applications from the general departments and police stations. The applications will be classified according to their type - intellectual works or patents. After that the Center will address the applicants to submit the registrations requirements and forms as well as the fees. Having all these documents received and verified, the Center will submit the applications to the Ministry of Economy. Then the certificates will be granted and published".
