The coordination committee for the Federal Community Police has recently held a meeting at the community police department building in Sharjah to discuss the achievements of community police departments at the federal level, and their strategic indicators.
The meeting was chaired by Colonel Mubarak bin Merhroum, Director General of Community Protection and Crime Prevention at the Ministry of Interior, and attended by Colonel Ali Saif Al Nadas, director of Sharjah community police, Lt. Colonel Yousif Faraj, director of Federal Community Police and the committee members.
The meeting has reviewed the achievements of the community police departments at the federal level in 2016, the ministry's initiatives supporting the national indicators, in addition to evaluating the previous community experiences and measuring their outcomes, and the future plans for 2017.
A number of recommendations have been reached including extension of the work of the previous administrative teams at the police stations and creation of new teams at the stations which don't have community police units.
