The Ministry of Interior's Child Protection Center has organized a virtual training workshop on the Guide for "Investigation Procedures in Child Abuse Cases." The workshop was attended by 35 child protection specialists at the Ministry of Education's Child Protection Unit.
Captain Ibrahim Al-Balushi gave a brief explanation of the role of the Child Protection Center at the Ministry of Interior, the procedures that must be followed in cases of suspected child abuse, and the cases that must be transferred to the Child Protection Center by the school administration.
He reviewed the procedures that are being taken by the authorities concerned with police leaderships in the country, based on the degree of abuse, the case study and the type of child abuse.
At the end of the workshop, a practical training was carried out for child protection specialists at the Ministry of Education, with the aim of assessing the extent of the seriousness of child abuse, and the measures to be taken regarding the case.
