The General Directorate for punitive and correctional establishments at the Ministry of Interior was awarded the prize in the education and community service - institutions category at the 15th Khalifa education award 2022. This was for the launch of the Mohammed bin Rashed platform for smart learning. There were in total 35 winners, 18 local and 17 from the Arab world.
HE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak al Nahyan, minister of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, deputy chairman of the board of trustees of the Khalifa education award, delivered the prize to Brigadier Yasser Ahmad Al Harmi, Director of habilitation and correction at the General Directorate for punitive and correctional establishments, during the ceremony that was held this morning at the Emirates Palace, Abu Dha
Brigadier General Yasser Al-Harami said, "We are pleased to have won the Khalifa Educational Award in the field of education and community service in the category of institutions, in its fifteenth session for the year 2022 AD, and we confirm that the Khalifa Educational Award continues its distinguished path in the educational field locally and globally since its launch in 2007."
He added, "The General Administration of Punitive and Correctional Institutions has participated in the project to launch the Mohammed bin Rashid platform for smart learning in the penal and correctional institutions sector at the state level, which aims to enhance the quality of life of the community by providing a flexible and sustainable educational environment for inmates in order to achieve national and quality of life goals and the objectives of the Ministry of Interior."
